Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a condition characterized by developmental and neurological challenges that create difficulties navigating social interactions and communication, and often manifests itself in repetitive behaviors.

What happens after my child is diagnosed with ASD?

Receiving an ASD diagnosis has a big impact on the entire family. It’s important to note that every child diagnosed with ASD is unique and may have different and specific challenges. We’ve been there and we’ll help you advocate for your child and get you the highest-quality care in Phoenix.

How important is early intervention for a child diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder?

Increasingly, autism research shows that the earlier your starts intervention therapy, the better the outcome. At PAC, we only treat children ages 2-6 with the primary goal of laying a solid foundation for each child’s future growth and development.

Do you use positive or negative reinforcement?

At Phoenix Autism Center, we are strong believers in positive reinforcement. Particularly during sessions that involve Natural Environmental Training, positive reinforcement is more successful at generating and maintaining interest in the skill being learned by your child.
