Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Job Summary

The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to clients and families in the day program center and occasionally in the home or community. The BCBA is a leadership role requiring the ability to manage a team of therapists, supervise a caseload, and effectively run a variety of ABA programs in the clinic setting.

Duties Can Include:

  • Skills assessments
  • Behavioral assessments
  • Providing supervision to all therapists, including those seeking BCBA or BCaBA certification
  • Staying up to date on current research
  • Documentation of all procedures and programming
  • Drafting conceptually well-written and grammatically-correct quarterly progress reports outlining the child’s strengths and deficits. Reports should reflect progress, challenges, and relevant future goals and strategies.
  • Developing and implementing skills acquisition and social skills programs
  • Developing and implementing behavior intervention plans
  • Conducting intake interviews and creating recommendations for comprehensive services
  • Consulting and providing training for parents, teachers, and community members
  • Adhering to ethical standards in HIPAA and BCBA code of ethics
  • Collaborating with all other team members of the child’s educational environment
  • Staffing, training, coaching, and facilitating treatment teams
  • Presenting at staff trainings
  • Participating in marketing events
  • Monitoring the client’s overall programming needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Credentials:

  • Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field, or Masters Equivalent
  • Reliable transportation and a desire to drive for home and clinic-based visits
  • 1+ years of applied experience working with special needs children, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Certified behavior analyst or awaiting recent BCBA exam results
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Proficiency with writing and communication
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well within teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using ABA, including DTT

About Phoenix Autism Center

Phoenix Autism Center (PAC) is owned by two parents who understand what having a child with ASD is like. PAC provides evidence-based ABA early intervention therapy to children aged 18 months to 6 years old.

Our mission is to meet each child at their own level of social, behavioral, and academic need to improve their quality of life and relationships with others. Utilizing the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), our team of clinicians identifies functional treatment goals and objectives to help improve the client and family’s quality of life by increasing age-appropriate independence and broadening access to things and activities that increase happiness.
